Summit Animal Clinic

We were treated terribly here quite recently. Last week, we brought our cat in for frequent barfing. When we got there, he was breathing oddly enough that the vet wanted to take him back for an X-ray. We said yes. While he was back there, without asking for permission, they drew his blood and urine, only telling us once he was brought back that they would run blood tests. They didn't say they were testing his urine until the results came back. We were given a medication to try and dry up the fluid around his heart and told to schedule him for an ultrasound, we were never told how severe it was. That night he had to be put down at an emergency vet. The next morning, after I told the clinic he passed, we were still left a voicemail about his x-ray review and asked if his medication had worked, despite knowing of his passing. This was an incredibly stressful time and it felt as though we were taken advantage of. The vet and owner, David Texeira, seems to lack some vital communication skills, especially tact. This was heart breaking and made even harder with the quality of care we received at this clinic.

I am not a person who comes on here and complains, but I feel like I need to for my dog Bucky! My dog Bucky is a 2 year old ROT mix and is the most loveable dog ever. When I brought him to the clinic I wasn’t really impressed. They wanted me to come in a different door because Bucky is a bigger dog and seems scary to others. Also I do not believe in muzzling my dog. I took my dog to Delafield Animal Hospital and did not need Muzzle and was so excited to be there. Also they said my dog peed on them when they were cutting his nails. Never told me that and found out when they faxed over his papers to the other place. Listen my dog is my baby and he deserves the best care not people that don’t care about his well being. Glad I left that place.

This place sucks! Just kidding Wendy is amazing!
