Hallett Veterinary Hospital

Our friends referred us to Hallett after taking our dog to a vet in Hartland for many years and not loving our experience. Unfortunately our first visit with them was our last (at this time) we had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to our beloved pup. Kayla and Dr: Ashley were so kind and compassionate during this difficult situation. I will always be grateful for them.

To be completely honest, several years ago, I didn’t have the best experience at Hallett Veterinary Clinic. In fact, one encounter was enough that we decided to switch veterinarians. Because of that, I never imagined I’d be writing a review like this. Life has a way of bringing you back to places you didn’t expect. Since Hallett is so close to our home, we’ve unfortunately had a couple of unexpected situations with our dogs over the past year that required immediate care. Both times, the team at Hallett and the Oconomowoc Emergency Animal Hospital exceeded every expectation I had. They welcomed us with kindness, compassion, and genuine concern for our pets. We never felt pressured into unnecessary testing or products, and they focused on providing thoughtful, affordable care that was truly in our dogs’ best interest. Every veterinarian, technician, and staff member treated our pets with incredible gentleness and treated us with empathy during stressful moments. One thing these experiences reminded me is that people and businesses deserve the opportunity to grow. My experience from years ago was real, but so have these recent experiences and they have been overwhelmingly positive. It takes humility and dedication to create lasting change, and it certainly feels like that’s exactly what has happened here. I’m incredibly grateful for the care our dogs have received, and I can honestly say I am once again recommending Hallett Veterinary Clinic and the Oconomowoc Emergency Animal Hospital to friends and family in the Oconomowoc area. Thank you for being there when we needed you most and for showing such genuine compassion to both pets and their people.

Updated Review: Last night a bat got into my house and my five cats chased and played with it. Worried about rabies exposure, I called Hallett Veterinary Hospital right at 7:30 am when they opened. My initial conversation with the receptionist left me frustrated for various reasons, which is what prompted me to leave a one-star review at the time. During my visit (and after reading my original review), the clinic reached out, apologized for the experience, asked what improvements could be made, and listened attentively to my feedback. I appreciate them taking the initiative to follow up and for showing genuine concern. Thank you to the team at Hallett Veterinary Hospital in Oconomowoc for addressing the situation and using my experience to make things better.
