Ark Animal Hospital

I bring my dogs here cause it was good. Lately when you call and leave a message about what is going on you don't get a response back. Is this suppose to be how you handle people that have questions about their pet that you just saw?? Asking for a friend... it's not the first time

I have to share an experience I had at a local vet clinic so hopefully it will help others. My dog is big and she is scared at the vet they give her treats she warms up to them and she gets her exam. I decided to try a new vet this year closer to my house I brought a beef stick explained she was scared and gave them a beef stick to share with her the staff was great giving her treats talking nicely to her. The room they have us in people keep opening and closing the door and walking through so this is making her more nervous and she is barking. The vet comes in she barks at him he instantly reaches out and sets the beef stick on the table thing so she can get it off there and says she needs a muzzle he was terrified and didn’t even attempt to win her over at all. I agreed to muzzle her. I am sitting in a corner behind this large table he makes me turn her around and hold her head and gives her the rabies and distemper shots scared the whole time and all she is doing is fighting me because we are crammed in a corner and I’m holding her head with a muzzle on her. I do not know this vet and if he is good or not. What I do know is if you are that afraid of dogs and don’t even know how to talk to them and give them treats to win them over and you think the way you made me hold her in a corner is going to make her less scared you need to really think about that instead you want me to give her 3 different meds to bring her in. The vets she has seen before have never been afraid and have never asked me to drug her. I should have just left I really don’t know why I didn’t.

I loved Jeff Stepanek and was sad to see him retire, but we're thrilled to work with Peter Morrow and team. They're great!

I scheduled an appointment at Ark Animal Hospital just for a quote for a mass removal. They set up my appointment up was nice while I was there and the told me we would have that quote to you end of day early next week since it was a Friday. I called back on Tuesday after not receiving any information and they told me we would get that to you end of day Tuesday. That also did not happen so I called Wednesday and they then told me the vet was on vacation and would not be able to provide the the quote till Friday morning. I called Friday at noon and they then told me that they would get it to me end of day or early next week at which point I called them out on their lack of communication and unprofessionalism and they then their office manager Anna told me I wasn't welcome to have my dog seen there. So I asked for my money back since I had not received my quote and at first she told me know that I would get the quote and then I am not welcome back. Well that must have not gone over to well from her boss and she texted me that she is refunding my money. Also I find it funny that they are not professional enough to call you and tell you you are not welcome back no she does it with her personal cell phone so it doesn't get recorded how unprofessional she is. Vets may be good people but the lack of communication and professionalism by the office and office manager Anna is astounding. DONT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!
